Michael and I were last there in 1999 with his children when Matthew was 15 and Laura and Steffi were 12. Now Bethany is 13 and it is her turn to experience the magic.
We are flying to Tampa via Chicago and will catch up with friends in Chicago on the way home. We last saw the Christiansen’s in summer 2016 and can’t wait to see them again. However we have lots to experience before we get there.
While in Florida we hope to ‘do’ Disney and Universal and I would like to take a trip out to Kennedy Space Centre and Cocoa Beach. We have rented a condo very close to Disney on a complex with a pool, club house and fitness centre.
These tickets still have a day each left on them as we only managed 4 days of 5 last time. I’m currently in touch with Disney to check their validity. I hope Matt, Laura and Steffi don’t mind us using them.
After 8 days around Disney we will head back across to the west coast to visit friends from Zurich who emigrated to Venice after they bought a restaurant there in 2016.
In Venice we have rented a villa with its own pool, hot tub and barbecue. We aim to end our holiday relaxing by the pool or on the beach interspersed with a bit of sightseeing and shopping. We also look forward to eating at Europe Wine Bistro and enjoying Florian and Bruno’s European cuisine.
Once we arrive in Florida I will write regular updates about our adventures. If anyone has any tips or tricks from more recent years we would be very pleased to hear them.
